When it comes to wellness, there’s always something new and trendy popping up. Today, I shared my top skincare, travel, yoga and food picks with Sara Gore and Jacquie Reid of NBC’s New York Live. Check out the segment here.
After diving into a positive psychology course this past fall, we put together a few tips to help you live a more abundant life. We took some of the most important information, eliminated the boring scientific language, and came up with a list of three things you can add to your routine that’ll enhance your life.
It’s with great excitement that I share my new hosting partnership with NBC! After acting as their editorial beauty and wellness expert for the past nine years, I’m finally expanding my personal brand and bringing it to the network in a more official way. Moving forward, I will be hosting/acting as the expert for “JM Approved,” a new branded content segment that will air monthly on New York Live TV featuring my favorite beauty, wellness, fashion and food finds. I am thrilled and can’t wait to work with the team as an official correspondent. Stay tuned for segment updates!
When I first moved from the city to Hoboken a little over four years ago, I was convinced that I was going to hate it. A typical New York attitude. Today, I can't express how much I absolutely love this little city and am so proud to call it home. Of course, I did my fair share of exploring and testing out all of the beauty and wellness offerings the town has to offer. While I still go to NYC for many of my services (see my round up of the best salons and spas in NYC here), I found some real talent in Hoboken. Here's my edit of the best of beauty and wellness in Hoboken.
When I rebranded and launched Joyfully Me, I thought deeply about the content I've been creating and my mission for the platform. After all, having an audience is a responsibility and I wanted to make sure I was using mine to the best of my ability. Throughout the content, you'll find what brings me joy and I hope it acts as moments of pick-me-ups and inspiration for you, too. Here, I interview some of the women I most admire in the wellness community. From Mallika Chopra to my favorite yoga teachers, meditation gurus, authors and athletes, they all dish on what brings them joy. Enjoy!
I just booked a trip to LA and am beyond excited to get back out there. The excitement and happiness I feel when on the West Coast doesn't compare to my day-to-day in NYC. There's just something about the sunshine. However, I found a formula by Deepak Chopra, MD that explains how you can take charge of your happiness. Even on cold, wintery NYC days. Check it out.
This summer during a visit to Canyon Ranch, I met with a nutritionist who introduced me to the idea of eating for your dosha type. As a yogi, I was famliar with my dosha type (Vata-Pitta) and the chacteristics, but never really looked into lifestyle decisions I should be making because of it. Now, I practice living according to the needs of my dosha type in order to feel my best. Here's why.
If you're still shopping for the holidays, you may want to pick up a gift that gives back to those in need. This week on NBC's New York Live, I featured my favorite five from my holiday gift guide. (I'm obsessed with all of them!). Check it out here and happy shopping!
