How to Banish Bloating

Lately, I've had a lot of people and some clients complain about bloating.  Potentially the most uncomfortable feeling in the world!  Thanks to them, I was inspired to give you an idea of the types of foods that cause bloating and a peak at what your diet should look like to help reduce it.

Foods that Cause Bloating

  • sugar
  • trans fat
  • dairy
  • alcohol
  • carbonated beverages
  • gluten
  • some seasonings 
  • some veggies like broccoli and cauliflower 

Bloat Free Diet 

  • Lots of fruits and vegetables (other than broccoli and cauliflower)
  • Healthy unsaturated fats, with limited use of saturated and NO trans fats
  • Omega-3 fatty acids from fish or fish oils supplements
  • Nuts
  • Whole grains
  • Lean protein like chicken, turkey and fish
  • Limited intake of red meat, deli meat, and full fat dairy foods
  • No refined carbs
  • No processed foods
  • Spices such as chili peppers, turmeric, cinnamon
