I got my start in journalism by interning.I interned in the beauty department at Cosmopolitan magazine daily for six months (blood, sweat and lipstick) before a position opened up that I interviewed for and the rest is history.
In college, I was an English major / journalism minor at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York. I went back to school a few years ago to study at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, because I was curious and passionate about functional medicine.
I’m a Jersey girl! Scotch Plains to be exact.
The electric energy of NYC. The laid back energy of California. New people I meet. Spiritual teachers. Music. My yoga practice.
I’m a sucker for classic literature. In my downtime, you can catch me reading Dickens, Hemingway, Wilde and Poe to name a few. I also love reading spiritual based non-fiction like The Secret and anything by Gabby Bernstein. Everyday, I practice the text A Course in Miracles.
Moisturizer with SPF. Lip balm. Tweezers. (I’m obsessive compulsive about my brows!)
I’m really into building my strength and creating long, lean muscle, while maintaining my flexibility. Besides being a yoga teacher myself, I practice yoga as often as possible (even if it's at home), and take barre classes daily. Of course, I'll jump into a boxing, pilates or spin class here and there, too.
When “active wear as day wear” became a trend, I felt like the Universe was working with me.
Yes, I've been eating this way for over 11 years. It started as a health decision, but throughout the years I've found myself to be quite the animal activist as well.
Through wellness, spirituality and our relationships, we can live beautifully with optimal health and happiness and in turn, create a ripple effect in the world. #namaste
